Glaya

Whenever my mom gets a bunch of meat, she always picks a few choice pieces and makes us Glayit Laham. Its super simple but so delicious. Its great for a quick and simple dinner. It can be used as a filling for sandwiches  as well!

What you need:
- 12oz meat
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 onion
- 1 Jalapeño

What to do:
1. Chop jalapeño and cut onion into slices

2. Cut meat into small-medium pieces. Its really about preference here. Remember, the thicker the meat, the longer the cook time. I cut mine into about 2inch pieces. Add salt and pepper to meat, mix with hands to insure all sides are coated.

3. In a pan on med-high heat, add olive oil and jalapeño. Allow the jalapeño 1-2mins to infuse the oil with its flavor. Remove once it begins to brown.
3. Spreading it across, add meat to pan.
4. Allow that side 6-8mins to brown then flip.
5. While the other side of the meat is browning add onion and the jalapeno from earlier into the pan. Leaving them on the top.
6. After 5 mins, stir onions and meat together allowing it to additionally cook till onions caramelize and meat is cooks to how ''done'' desired.
 7. Plate and ENJOY!
